W2 Analytics
W2 Analytics is W2 Kitchen's private, read-only analytics application. Its purpose is to help W2 Kitchen understand the performance of its own YouTube channel by collecting authorised channel metadata, non-monetary analytics, and monetary analytics, then using that information for internal reporting, historical analysis, editorial planning, and content-production decisions.
Purpose of W2 Analytics
W2 Kitchen produces cooking and food-related videos. W2 Analytics exists to give authorised W2 Kitchen personnel a consistent way to analyse how those published videos perform over time. The application brings together read-only performance information so W2 Kitchen can understand audience behaviour, compare videos fairly, evaluate revenue performance, and make better-informed decisions about future videos.
W2 Analytics is not a public analytics service and is not offered to outside creators or consumers. It is an internal tool for analysing the W2 Kitchen channel that authorised users already manage.
What the application does
Identifies W2 Kitchen videos
Reads channel and video metadata so W2 Kitchen publications can be identified and associated with the correct analytics records.
Analyses performance
Reads non-monetary analytics such as views, watch time, audience retention, traffic sources and subscriber performance for internal analysis.
Analyses revenue
Reads authorised monetary analytics so W2 Kitchen can evaluate revenue performance alongside other channel metrics.
Why W2 Analytics requests Google user data
W2 Analytics requests Google access because the performance data for the W2 Kitchen YouTube channel is available only to an authorised account. The application requests only the read-only permissions necessary to identify the channel and retrieve its authorised analytics.
- YouTube read-only access is used to validate the authorised W2 Kitchen channel and retrieve read-only channel and video metadata.
- YouTube Analytics read-only access is used to retrieve non-monetary performance reports for the W2 Kitchen channel.
- YouTube Analytics monetary read-only access is used to retrieve authorised revenue-related analytics for the W2 Kitchen channel.
Read-only by design: W2 Analytics does not use these OAuth permissions to upload, edit, delete, comment on, or otherwise modify YouTube content.
How the data supports W2 Kitchen
W2 Analytics uses the authorised information for W2 Kitchen's internal reporting and production-intelligence workflows. This includes historical performance comparisons, audience-retention analysis, revenue analysis, data-quality checks, editorial planning, and AI-assisted analysis used by authorised W2 personnel for the same internal purposes.
The application may combine authorised analytics with W2-managed production information and timed transcripts so W2 Kitchen can examine relationships between what appears in a video and how viewers respond to it.
Privacy and data practices
W2 Analytics does not sell Google user data, use it for advertising or retargeting, or provide outside parties with independent access to the authorised channel's data. Details about access, use, storage, sharing, retention, revocation, and deletion are provided in the W2 Analytics Privacy Policy.
Who may use W2 Analytics
W2 Analytics is intended for W2 Kitchen's authorised personnel and approved service providers acting on W2 Kitchen's behalf. Access is used only to support W2 Kitchen's own analytics and production workflows.
