Privacy policy
How W2 Analytics handles Google user data.
This policy explains how W2 Analytics, operated by W2 Kitchen, accesses, uses, stores, shares, retains and deletes Google user data obtained through Google and YouTube APIs.
1. Scope of this policy
W2 Analytics is an internal, read-only analytics system used by W2 Kitchen. This policy applies to Google user data accessed after an authorised Google Account grants W2 Analytics permission to access the W2 Kitchen channel and its analytics.
2. Google user data W2 Analytics accesses
- Read-only YouTube channel and video metadata, such as channel identity, video identity, titles, publication information and related metadata needed to associate W2 Kitchen publications with analytics.
- Non-monetary YouTube Analytics data, such as views, watch time, audience-retention information, traffic-source information, geography, subscriber performance and other authorised reporting metrics.
- Monetary YouTube Analytics data, such as authorised estimated revenue and related monetary reporting metrics.
- OAuth authorisation credentials required to maintain authorised read-only access. W2 Analytics does not request or store the Google Account password.
W2 Analytics requests only the scopes required for these functions and does not use these permissions to upload, edit, delete, comment on or otherwise modify YouTube content.
3. How Google user data is used
Google user data is used only to provide and improve W2 Analytics functionality, including:
- internal channel and video performance reporting;
- historical and comparable-video analysis;
- audience-retention and engagement analysis;
- revenue and performance analysis;
- data-quality, freshness and operational checks;
- editorial and production decision support for W2 Kitchen; and
- AI-assisted analysis used by authorised W2 personnel for the same internal analytics and production-intelligence purposes.
W2 Analytics does not use Google user data for advertising, retargeting, personalised advertising, data brokerage, creditworthiness assessment, lending decisions or sale to third parties.
4. Storage and security
Authorised analytics data is stored and processed in W2-controlled Google Cloud systems, including analytical storage and reporting infrastructure. OAuth refresh credentials are stored in Google Secret Manager and are not intentionally placed in source control, public files or analytics reports.
W2 Kitchen applies access controls intended to limit Google user data to authorised W2 personnel and approved services that require access to provide W2 Analytics functionality. The system is designed around read-only access and minimum necessary permissions.
5. Sharing and transfers
W2 Kitchen does not sell Google user data and does not provide it to third parties for their own independent purposes.
Data may be processed by service providers acting on W2 Kitchen's behalf when necessary to operate or improve W2 Analytics. These may include cloud hosting, storage, reporting and AI-assisted analysis services used by authorised W2 personnel. Such processing is limited to providing the W2 Analytics functionality described in this policy and is subject to applicable access controls and contractual or platform protections.
W2 Kitchen may also disclose data when necessary to protect the security of the service, comply with applicable law, or as otherwise permitted by Google API policies and applicable law.
6. Google API Services User Data Policy and Limited Use
W2 Analytics's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
W2 Analytics also uses YouTube API Services in accordance with applicable YouTube API Services Terms of Service and developer policies.
7. Retention
W2 Kitchen retains Google user data only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide W2 Analytics, maintain historical analytics, meet operational requirements and comply with applicable legal obligations.
When data is no longer required for those purposes, W2 Kitchen will delete or securely dispose of it in accordance with its operational retention practices. Backup copies may persist for a limited period as part of normal backup and disaster recovery processes and are not used for unrelated purposes.
8. Revoking access and requesting deletion
The authorising Google Account can revoke W2 Analytics access through the Google Account's third-party connections or permissions settings.
A user may also request deletion of Google user data associated with W2 Analytics by emailing ey@w2kitchen.com. W2 Kitchen will process verified deletion requests within 30 days, except where retention is required by applicable law. If W2 Kitchen can no longer verify valid authorisation for stored YouTube API data, it will delete the affected user data within the period required by applicable YouTube API policies.
9. Human access
Access to Google user data is limited to authorised W2 personnel and service providers where access is necessary to operate, secure, troubleshoot or provide the W2 Analytics features described in this policy, or where disclosure is required by law.
10. Changes to this policy
W2 Kitchen may update this policy when W2 Analytics functionality or data practices change. Material changes affecting the use of Google user data will be reflected in this published policy before the data is used for a materially different purpose. The effective date above will be updated when this policy changes.
